In the current climate, a lot of people are looking for ways in which they can pass the time at home, and maintain some normality in their routine. For some, this includes baking, daily exercise, and Zoom calls with friends. For others, this includes ordering in from their favourite restaurants and cafes. Sydney-based hospitality business FirePop is bringing the heat of the Aussie BBQ to its customers’ homes, delivering its delicious seasoned meats in the form of home-made meal kits.

Founded in July 2019, Firepop has taken Sydney by storm with its pop-up restaurant serving the Sydney metro area. Inspired by beautiful local produce and rich culinary heritage from around the world, Firepop brings their own interpretation of charcoal BBQ and good eating.

Like many other businesses within the hospitality industry however, COVID-19 restrictions had a large effect on their normal face-to-face business. Their solution? Bring their customers the best possible version of their menu - meal kits to cook at home. With simple cooking instructions, customers can now enjoy FirePop’s flavours from the comfort of their own home. Offering delicious “pops” in Lamb, Wagyu Beef, Pork Belly and Chicken Hearts, all meal kits can be cooked with an oven, charcoal grill or gas BBQ.

The best part? Firepop is offering home delivery to Sydney suburbs twice a week, with delivery to Sydney CBD, Eastern Suburbs, Sydney North and Hills District on Thursdays between 1-9pm and delivery to Inner West & Sydney South on Fridays between 1-9pm. Anyone fancy a weekly BBQ?

Firepop is an awesome example of a local Aussie business adapting to the current climate, and going above and beyond to bring their delicious menu and flavours to their customers’ doors.
